Hellllllloooooo everybody! Have I got a treat for you today. We're making apple chips. Yes, thin crispy, sweet apple goodness with only one ingredient... apples! There's no sweetener, no preservatives, no bad oils, none of that junk! Just real apples, baked low and slow until they become the perfect little bites. Everyone will love these as a fun side or appetizer. Keep a bowl out when guests are coming or serve with some greek yogurt mixed with a pinch of cinnamon for the kids to dip in. They're a fantastic alternative to regular store bought chips. Eat your fruits!
- 1 large gala apple
Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F. Thin slice your apple using a mandolin or a very good knife and some excellent knife skills. You can core the apple prior or just slice the whole apple and pop out any seeds.
Arrange on a parchment lined thick bottomed baking sheet in a single layer (making sure none of the apple slices overlap). Place in the oven and let cook for 1 hour, flip and bake for another hour. Remove from the oven and let cool to crisp. Store in an airtight container.
