Lately, I've been back on the yogurt train. I have this love/love relationship with yogurt. I LOVE the way greek yogurt tastes; that tang is just so right to me. I also LOVE the nutrition profile of plain yogurt....Read More
I don't always have a solid plan going into dinner. I do a lot of meal planning and prepping on the weekends. I peruse the internet for new ideas, I do a whole lot of chopping, and I stand over a stove for a majority of my Saturday & Sunday to make sure there's plenty to grab during the week. It's great, but it makes cooking entire meals for dinner a little harder during the week. More often than not, we're eating leftovers or mostly leftovers with one or two fresh cooked additions. Believe me, there's nothing wrong with that, it gets the job done, it gets the people fed, but every once in a while you need a whole meal where none of the parts have been reheated.Read More
Once again, an Ambitious Kitchen recipe came to my rescue this week. I have this habit of finding a new food blog or instagram and binge scrolling through all their old posts. In my frantic scrolling last Thursday, I happened upon a ton of chicken ideas to try on my meal prep Sunday. This crockpot salsa chicken was one of them!Read More

I am always trying to find new ways to season plain chicken breasts. I prep 2 family sized packs of chicken every Sunday to last us the week (along with all the other stuff I make) and I've made my fair share of flops. If it's not seasoned enough or not quite right, then we're stuck choking down flavorless, overcooked, chicken sawdust. Not fun. No more.Read More
Recipes go in & out of style. One week I want Mexican flavors, the next week I want to spiralize all my veggies, the week after that I may be really into rosemary on everything, but week after week, there's one side that always makes its way onto my menu. It's plain ol' roasted sweet potatoes.Read More

I know exactly what you're thinking... "Those sound excellent, but ain't nobody got time for that!" Well, I'm here to tell you that you do have time and these lovely burgers can be a part of your weekly routine.Read More
Sunday rest days work a little different than workout days for me. There's something decadent, maybe even indulgent about them. I'm not sure if it's the relaxed atmosphere in the kitchen when I've got no place I need to be, the extra large cup of coffee I sip on, or the big ol' serving of fat I get in those rest day macros. Scratch that... I know what it is, it's definitely the fat.Read More
To be honest with you guys, I don't technically know what a buddah bowl is. From what I've seen, they seem to be bowls of food, mostly veggies, protein, and grains all in one. I figured this bowl I made for lunch today qualified and thus the sweet potato buddah bowl was born.Read More
Saturday mornings often times suck. I have to wake up early to workout. I'm still tired from working out the night before. There's never enough coffee. However, there is one shining beam of light on those dreary mornings and that is breakfast.
On RP you get more food (mostly more carbs) around your workout. When I workout first thing in the morning that translates into a big breakfast with all the fixin's post wod :D
So here's what we've got...
